The procedure can also be performed on both breasts for those who have had a double mastectomy.

In addition to increasing the breast size, you can also have your nipple and areola reconstructed, generally after the initial breast reconstruction surgery has had time to heal.

DIEP Breast Reconstruction Surgery

Dr. Webb performs the DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) breast reconstruction procedure. No muscle is removed in the DIEP procedure and it spares most of the skin of the breast. The breast tissue that is removed is replaced with your own tissue, called autologous transfer. DIEP breast reconstruction procedure can be performed immediately following a mastectomy or several years after.
